Controller tests, games and local history

Stick positions, trigger values, button presses, motion readings and Finger Game touch positions are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to our analytics service. The app saves diagnostic reports and game records locally, including results, dates and durations. It also stores purchase/access status, per-report rewarded access, settings and cached analytics/configuration data. A completed game result can be held in memory until the advertising transition finishes; advertising does not create a paid game entitlement.

You can delete saved diagnostic reports in Reports. Removing the app removes its local app data; data already uploaded is governed by the retention practices below. Gamepad Doctor does not provide its own account-based cloud history sync. Device backup and restore are controlled by your iOS settings.

If you share a report, iOS presents the share sheet and you choose the recipient. The selected service then handles that content under its own policy.

Usage analytics

The app sends usage events to analpane, our analytics service. Versions 1.7 and earlier used Mixpanel. Events include navigation; controller family (not the controller's serial number); diagnostic start, completion, skip and aggregate verdict; report and history actions; game start, finish, exit, aggregate hit, accuracy and duration measures; and purchase/restore outcomes. Purchase events may include price, currency and test/production environment. Ad events, when advertising is enabled, include the placement, load/show outcome, impressions, clicks, reward, dismissal and available impression revenue with currency.

Events do not include report contents, raw controller/touch streams, local report/run UUIDs, Apple transaction identifiers, raw ad error text or consent strings. Technical metadata includes app/build, operating system, device model, locale, timezone and SDK version.

analpane creates a random installation identifier and a sequence number to associate and order events. This is not Apple's advertising identifier and is not connected to an app account. When events are uploaded, our service receives and retains the connection's IP address and estimates country/city from it. The SDK can also download app configuration, including whether advertising is enabled. We use this information to operate and improve the app, understand feature and purchase flows, and measure advertising.

analpane is operated by us and stores events on servers in the United Kingdom. Our analytics retention policy is 24 months for App Store events and 7 days for development/TestFlight events. Uninstalling stops future app uploads and removes the local identifier/unsent queue; it does not remove already uploaded events. Contact mail@cishor.com about data questions. We cannot identify an installation from your name or email alone.

Advertising and privacy choices

When advertising is enabled, an available rewarded ad can be explicitly chosen to open one diagnostic report. Games may show a standard interstitial automatically after a completed run. The game result opens automatically after the ad closes, or if no ad is available or an ad error occurs. Full Diagnosis and verified access from the original paid app bypass advertising. Availability may change; ads require a connection.

Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) delivers these ads. Google's User Messaging Platform handles applicable consent messages and required Privacy choices. Required privacy choices remain available when applicable, including after a previous advertising session. When advertising is disabled, the app does not start new ad requests or automatic consent refreshes; previously required privacy options can still be accessed. Explicitly opening Privacy choices may refresh consent information before presenting the current form.

Google's software may process IP-derived general location, device/app identifiers, advertising and interaction data, crash reports and performance information to provide, measure and improve advertising and associated services. This is separate from our analpane event collection. Google processes its data under Google's Privacy Policy and its advertising information.

The app does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization. It disables Google's publisher first-party ID before Mobile Ads starts and does not set a custom advertising user ID. This does not mean Google's SDK collects no device or app data. We do not sell controller measurements or diagnostic reports.

Purchases

Full Diagnosis is a non-consumable App Store purchase. Apple processes payment; the app checks verified entitlements to provide access. We do not receive your payment card details. Restore Purchases is available from purchase screens. Rewarded access to an individual report is separate from a paid entitlement.

Children

Gamepad Doctor is not designed specifically for children. Applicable advertising and consent controls must be satisfied before ads can be requested. Contact us if you have a privacy question concerning a child using the app.
