Help with Gamepad Doctor

Support

Gamepad Doctor tests compatible game controllers connected to an iPhone or iPad through Apple's GameController framework. The app also offers three games and local report/record history. No app account is needed.

Connect a controller

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth.
  2. Put the controller into pairing mode.
  3. Select it in the Bluetooth device list.
  4. Return to Gamepad Doctor and tap “Try again” if needed.

Single Aim and Double Aim require a compatible controller. Tapping a game card without one shows pairing guidance. Finger Game uses the touchscreen.

Find reports and records

Saved diagnostic reports are in Reports. Games contains Single Aim, Double Aim and Finger Game. Use the records button on a game's introduction screen for available local records. History is stored on this device, not in an app account. If a storage error appears, the current session can retain a result in memory; follow the displayed recovery action before closing the app.

Access and advertising

Every hardware test and game run is free. Full Diagnosis is a one-time purchase that unlocks all diagnostic reports and removes advertising. Customers who bought the original paid app keep full access after verification. Use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen if needed; use the Apple Account that owns it.

When rewarded advertising is enabled and available, Watch an ad can unlock one diagnostic report. This choice is optional and applies to that saved report, not every future report. Closing that ad early does not earn a report reward. A confirmed no-ad-available response opens the report for free; other report ad errors show a retry action.

Games may show an automatic ad break after a completed run when advertising is enabled. The result opens after the ad closes. If the ad is unavailable or fails, the result also opens automatically. There is no Watch or purchase panel for game results, and no advertising between Finger Game stages.

An ad may take time to load. Keep the app open while it prepares. If an error appears on a report, check your connection and retry. A purchase-history verification error has its own recovery action and does not imply a successful purchase. Required Privacy choices appear when Google's consent platform requires them.

A control or effect does not appear

Only capabilities reported by the controller and iOS are shown. Touchpad, battery, motion, light and vibration support varies by controller.

A result says “Possible issue”

Repeat the test with the controller resting on a stable surface during the five-second center measurement. Move sticks slowly around their full edge and complete three full press-and-release cycles for each trigger. Results provide diagnostic guidance, not repair or calibration. An incomplete test identifies missing checks; payment is not required to reveal that data is insufficient.
